New Flavour Chemistry Facility Opened at Teagasc, Moorepark

A newly refurbished flavour chemistry facility was opened in July, 2018 at Teagasc Food Research Centre, Moorepark, Fermoy, Co. Cork. The bespoke facility has state of the art advanced gas chromatography mass spectrometry capability for the identification of aroma compounds in food and beverages. The flavour chemistry unit provide services to support industry in product development, flavour/ aroma characterisation, product matching and identification of off-flavours (aromas) or taints.
