Sensory Food Network Ireland

Sensory Food Network Ireland is a national network of excellence, promoting integration and ensuring sustainability for all sensory science activities on the island of Ireland and abroad. The network was established in 2014 to address documented needs and gaps in the Irish food industry in relation to sensory science.
The network brings together the sensory expertise and facilities of 10 national institutions throughout Ireland. This expertise is networked around a joint programme of activities in training, service provision and research. All network partners are dedicated to delivering a comprehensive, gold standard service to industry, while, at the same time, developing and improving sensory research and consumer testing methodologies. Sensory Food Network Ireland is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, under the FIRM (Food Institutional Research Measure) programme.
